There are several reasons that have been pushing image sources towards wider video data bandwidth and full adoption of the specifications on video signals. The LG OLED G4 seems to be having a significant issue with HDMI2 (eARC). Connecting external video sources to HDMI2 (which work on the other the other 3 HDMIs) do not produce an image (but you can hear sound).
