The lens can be changed quiet easily. On my Typhoon H (CGO3+) I swapped the original lens to one made by Peau Production. The main reason for doing so was not to gain more focal length but to improve color and sharpness, since many CGO3+ had some trouble with it.

Mine had blurry areas on the left side of every image or video. The improvement is ... Said mini zoom as stated in my post and their description copied below: With it being over 40 degrees narrower than the stock GoPro lens, 8 degrees narrower than the DJI Inspire X3 and Phantom 4/3 cameras and 16 degrees narrower than the Yuneec H CGO3+ camera, this lens brings your subjects closer without being too zoomed in to introduce unwanted image jitter. The lens weight remains the same but the mass moment arm changes with movement of the lens elements. The CGO-3 gimbal was not designed with multiple lens options in mind so any change in lens carries the risk of altering the weight and balance enough to prevent the software and actuators from fully stabilizing the image. I can see some value in adding the Peau lens but I'm wondering since a lot of my jobs will be in residential developments where the homes are pretty close together if being zoomed (for lack of a better word) in that much might cause me to have to back up far enough to film the front of the house... There are 2 different housings for the CGO3+. If you contact Peau they will tell you to take a pic of your current lens, minus the lens cover of course, and let you know if you need the lens adapter as well as the lens. Focusing can take a few attempts but once you find the sweet spot it improves the cameras quality considerably.
