Understanding the Context

They dubbed it an "affordable entry level" SLR. And it got a great review. I'm really considering this camera for my first non P&S camera.. and was wondering if anyone has it or has used it and what you would say about it?

Key Insights

I have a Nikon D300 but the colours are never as crisp and vibrant as others that use the same camera. For example, I took some fall season photographs in the forest. The images are very brown and red toned, instead of the vibrant yellow leaves that are in the forest. What settings do I need to set my camera to get more vibrant colours? Does anyone have any info on the differences and relative speeds of the various Nikon autofocus systems.

Final Thoughts

I have a N70 - CAM 274. I was looking at the N80 and D70 - CAM 900 and F100 Cam 1300 (also in F5). I noticed some of the newer cameras have a CAM 2000 system.
